The Birmingham Branch AAUW has made a goal of educating women and girls to achieve a better life. Some of the scholar/candidates have been mature learners looking to better support their families and some are high school seniors who have been exemplary students focusing on both civic and academic achievements while demonstrating a real need for financial assistance.
